Help Support Adamilka (Ada) Fernandez

 

 

 

 

Hello this is my best friend Ada Fernandez, who is a breast cancer survivor and a single working mom to her now 18-year-old daughter Kaitlyn.

 

In May 2017, when she was first diagnosed with stage two triple negative breast cancer, she was faced with so many struggles and challenges throughout this horrific ordeal. If you know Ada, she was not going to allow this illness to define her and defeat her. She was willing to fight this all the way. After a long year of treatment, the cancer was gone.

 

However, in June 2021 she had a serious setback, not only did it come back as stage 4, but it also came with a secondary illness called Dermatomyositis is an autoimmune disease which made her muscles painfully weak to the point she could not walk and eat on her own. She stayed at Sloane Kettering Hospital for 5 weeks until they were able to manage her pain, she is currently staying in a rehab facility for the past 2 months.

 

This is taking a huge toll on her as she is unable to report in to work that resulted in no payday.

In order to keep up with the day-to-day expenses like food, transportation for her treatments, prescription medicine, utilities and rent. We can all make a difference by supporting and assisting her during this difficult time. Ada is one to never ask for a helping hand due to her hardworking ethics but always a willing participant to help others. This is why, I am fundraising on her behalf; she is one of a million and many would agree with me that knows her best, we love her unselfish ways.

 

Your support will help restore her life by going to rehab and getting the treatment she needs and deserves. By doing this, she can live comfortably at home with all the necessary resources to fight this ongoing battle.
