In Uganda, speaking out for the environment and human rights is life threatening. Non violent activists are being arrested, tortured and silenced. One of the bravest among them is Nanyondo Winifred, a fearless woman who has dedicated her life to defending our planet and the rights of people.

Because of her outspoken work, Nanyondo faces relentless threats, harassment and persecution from the government forces. Her situation became even more dangerous after her fellow activist, SHARIFU managed to flee the country leaving Nanyondo exposed.

But there is a window of hope: Nanyondo has been granted a Visa to escape to Safety.
