Hi everyone, my name is Rhyann Williams. I live in California, but I consider Montego Bay my second home. I am organizing this GoFundMe to support my dear friend Ackeem and his family, who have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. They reside in Montego Bay in Catherine Hall. During Hurricane Melissa, the Barnett River overflowed, submerging Catherine Hall, causing Ackeem and his family's home to be flooded with muddy water up to 6ft, destroying their clothes, furniture, family memories, and car. They are currently still without running water, electricity, food, and clothing. Their home is currently filled with mud, and all emergency supplies, food, and water are running low. Ackeem works hard as a lifeguard and tour guide, which will be impacted by this hurricane for many months to come. He also spends his time being a devoted, loving father to his 7-year-old daughter, who has lost all of her clothes, toys, and bedroom furniture. I'm hoping that this fundraiser will help bring relief to Ackeem and his family in the months to come. The funds will go towards home and vehicle repairs, clothes, furniture, and food.
