Hi, I'm Achilles.
This GoFundMe is under my dead name so please pay that no mind. I'm a queer transgender man, chronically ill, and disabled, living in Georgia… a fully red southern state that more and more under our current presidency, doesn't feel safe for someone like me to stay.
I've made the decision to move to be closer to my chosen sister, someone who has shown up for me again and again, and who can offer the kind of real, hands-on support I need as I navigate my health, my transition, and daily life. Right now, I don't have that where I am. I want to be somewhere I can be supported instead of just surviving, while working actively to not only do better physically, mentally, and emotionally - but also to be able to actually properly get on my feet and eventually support my elderly mother, and disabled younger brother.
I'm doing everything I can to fund this myself - saving part of my income every week, and picking up extra where I can. But a move like this comes with a lot of moving pieces, and I'd be so grateful for any help easing the load.
What the funds go toward:
• 1 month of rent for my new place: $800
• Travel/ticket: $150
• Safely transporting my kittens: $300
• Move-in essentials: $200
The goal is set higher simply to cover any fees when transferring money from GoFundMe, to my bank account. Upon arrival I am immediately starting my job search, and working towards my future. Whether you're able to contribute, share this with someone, or just send good thoughts my way, thank you. It genuinely means more than I can put into words. I'm trying to get myself somewhere safer, and more stable.. every bit of support gets me closer.
