Help Acey's family cover end-of-life costs

Hello, my name is Paula Jones. l still can't believe that two days ago I lost one of my three, beautiful boys - my 39 year old, middle son, Acey G. Spencer Jr.

 

Acey passed unexpectedly, the evening of Wed, October 20th, 2021, after his heart stopped while undergoing a diabetes-related medical procedure. By the time the doctor called, Acey had gone into cardiac arrest twice and his brain had been without oxygen for over an hour despite the hospital staff performing life-saving measures. At that time, I had to make the hardest decision of my life - to allow them to stop compressions, remove the oxygen, and let my baby pass away. It still doesn't feel real, but I know that realization is going to hit me all at once.

 

Acey was born in North Carolina. He was a beloved son, brother, and relative, who enjoyed family, working, and video games.

 

He is survived by his mother Paula Jones, his father Acey Sr, his brothers Wesley Small and Robert Singletary, his sister Yvette Whitfield, and uncles and cousins.

 

Our whole family has been devastated by Acey's death and we weren't prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of his funeral. We need to raise $5,000 by Tues, October 26, 2021 in order to be able to afford the funeral service.
