Help Acapulco, Mexico!

Donation protected
On October 25th, Acapulco experienced the devastating impact of Hurricane OTIS, classified as a severe category 5 storm. Two days later, I began receiving distressing images from friends residing in the vicinity. Death tolls are on the rise.

The visuals depict widespread destruction evident in both photographs and videos. It's noteworthy that half of Acapulco's population resides in impoverished conditions in mountainous areas.

In response to this crisis, I, Lawrence Manickam of Red Maple Bible Ministry, have contributed CAD $500 to individuals known to me in Ixtapa. They are set to embark on a journey tomorrow and in the subsequent weekends to assist their affected relatives with essential necessities such as groceries, water, blankets, lights, sanitizers, and medications.

Reflecting on the biblical teachings, Jesus's words resonate: "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me" (Matthew 25:35-36, NIV, 2011).

Encouraging a spirit of generosity, God calls upon us to aid others, viewing such actions as if directed towards Him. The more we embrace this commitment, the more God promises to provide for us. Having cultivated friendships in this coastal region for many years, this place holds a special and intimate significance for me.

If you feel a prompting in your heart, I invite you to contribute to this cause. I will continue to share receipts and pertinent information to keep you informed of the impact your donations are making.

God bless you!
