Help Us Build a Safe Haven for Rescued Animals in Kyrgyzstan

Hello kind souls,

My name is Arthur Samudinov, and I’m a proud volunteer at Kainar Shelter, an animal rescue center located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Kainar was officially registered on February 17, 2020, thanks to the relentless dedication of its founder, Ilya Ruzhichka. After years of rescuing animals with his family and reaching the limits of what they could provide on their own, Ilya took the bold step to establish Kainar as a registered shelter — and a lifeline for hundreds of animals.

At Kainar, we care for animals that have endured heartbreaking conditions:

Hit by cars and left to suffer

Abandoned due to old age, illness, or disability

Bought from cruel breeders who discarded them once they were no longer profitable

Many of our rescued dogs and cats once knew the comfort of a home — only to be thrown away when they no longer fit a certain "look." In a world where appearance often outweighs compassion, we believe every animal deserves a second chance.

The Crisis We Face

Kainar currently supports 350+ dogs and 80+ cats, and every day brings new challenges:

Critical veterinary care and medication

Monthly bills for electricity, gas, and water

Basic needs like food, straw, and clean shelter

Safe outdoor spaces to let our dogs heal, play, and feel like animals again

We’re urgently raising funds to build a new, safer, warmer shelter — one that offers not only physical protection but also emotional healing for the animals who have suffered so much.

️ What Your Donation Supports:

Warm rooms and insulated shelter structures

Spacious outdoor aviaries for exercise and recovery

Emergency medical care, surgeries, and medication

Hygiene supplies to prevent the spread of disease

Rehabilitation and social retraining so our animals are ready for adoption

Our ultimate goal? To give every rescued animal a chance at a real home. And when they’re ready, we provide their full vet history and adoption kits to help them transition.

Sadly, not all adoptions succeed — some animals are returned, and we take them back without hesitation. But with your help, we can give them the support they need to try again.

How You Can Help

Every donation — large or small — goes directly to the care of these animals and is transparently tracked and reported. You can follow our daily rescue efforts on Instagram:
