Help Abod and His Family Receive Food in Occupied Gaza.

As we sit back and indulge in the privilege of western life, it is hard to imagine the immense suffering the Palestinian people have gone through. To wake up, not knowing if you will survive the day, praying for the safety of your children while you watch them starve, is a horror I would not wish upon my worst foe.

And yet this is the reality of life for my friend Abod and his family. Israel has made it immensely difficult to receive aid and food in Gaza -- with the free aid being incredibly difficult to access, and prices for food being insanely high. Right now in Gaza, a small portion of flour can range from $50 - $75 USD, with cooking oil costing around $28 USD. Providing funding is the best way to ensure that these people - our fellow humans - can have the basic human right to live and breathe and enjoy the lives they have been given.

When you travel to Starbucks this morning for your daily coffee, or as you debate whether or not you need another item of clothing, consider instead extending a helping hand and donating to help a starving family make it to see not just tomorrow, but the many years ahead that these children deserve.
