We are writing on behalf of our brother and friend Aiby Bekele.

 

On October of 2019, Abiy was diagnosed with cancer. Abiy quietly fought this illness for over three years. He took chemotherapy, radiation and had surgeries in hope of battling this disease. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread, and Abiy has exhausted all medical options.

 

Abiy is a single dad of 4 minor children, and he has cherished every moment he had with them. Abiy is widely known in Seattle for his friendliness and warm personality. He has always enjoyed helping and comforting others in their time of need.

 

We are hoping for Abiy to try alternative treatments in hopes of curing or extending his life so he would have some time with his children.

 

This alternative cancer treatment is provided in Tijuana, and costs close to $80,000, and not covered by insurance.

 

We are asking for donations to help lessen this massive financial burden. Anything counts and is deeply appreciated.
