As some of you may know, my sister Abigail has been in an intense health battle for the last 9 months.

After spending 7 weeks in the hospital, and seeing 14 doctors over the course of this process, we have a correct diagnosis and a plan of treatment.

Abigail has been diagnosed with CIRS, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome which is a progressive, multi-system, multi-symptom illness characterized by exposure to biotoxins. The ongoing inflammation can affect virtually any organ system of her body and if left untreated becomes debilitating. 

In Abigail’s case, this illness has attacked her brain and has had devastating neurological effects. This has been excruciating for her and our family and has left her unable to work, and truly unable to function.

Getting to the bottom of this has cost our family over $48,000 in countless doctors visits, tests, and treatments.
PRAISE GOD, that our plan of action is finally clear but this is not a fast, or an easy journey at all.

Insurance does not cover treatment for CIRS, leaving appointments with these specialists to be thousands of dollars out of pocket. Thankfully, God has led us to a specialist in the DC area who knows how to help her get well which has been a miracle as this is a frequently unrecognized condition.

This gofundme will cover the expenses of the appointments, treatment, and cost of living as Abigail is still unable to work from this debilitating condition.
