In July, I have the opportunity to attend The Science of the Singing Voice: Science to Practice in Malmköping, Sweden. This event, hosted by Drs. Johan Sundberg, Filipa Lã, and Brian Gill, is a four-day voice intensive for singers and teachers. Each day consists of a variety of lectures, including Pedagogical Aspects of Breathing Techniques, Tailoring Vocalizes, Voice and Rooms, Non-Operatic Techniques, and much more!

This event will provide invaluable professional development opportunities and network building. As I begin working with my own students, I am grateful for the opportunity to gain additional training and mindful techniques to aid their growth.

I will be offering a fundraising recital on June 14th at 6 pm at North Hills Christian Reformed Church in Troy, MI to sponsor this trip. Donations will help cover the cost of program participation, airfare, lodging, and accommodations while in Sweden.
