This account is created to benefit Abeba Haile. War is devastating, and for survivors like Abeba Haile, an 18-year-old student from Tigray, war meant no access to life-saving dialysis. Two years before the war started in Tigray, Ethiopia, Abeba was relying on the local hospitals to receive her dialysis twice a week. Abeba has long relayed on her sister to help pay for the dialysis. After the war started, the local hospital run out of medication and was not able to receive the care she needs. Her sister no longer had access to money, and for the duration of the war, Abeba found herself without medical care. The doctors in Ethiopia have made it very clear that Abeba needs medical aid outside of Ethiopia. Her sister and her family are urgently looking for ways to cover the hospital, lodging, and meals for herself and her sister who would care for her during her recovery.
