Dear supporters,

I am writing this on behalf of my dear co-worker, Abdul. Abdul will be traveling to Palestine in two weeks with the hopes of evacuating his family. The cost of evacuating his family is roughly around $36,000. Unfortunately, Abdul has only been able to raise $8,000 on his own and has been left with the heart-breaking decision of choosing who he will be able to evacuate. Abdul is 68 years old and is the sole provider for his family here in the US as well as his family in Gaza, which includes his children and grandchildren. One of his grandchildren (age 5) is also in dire need of medical help. He requires a crucial surgery that needs to be performed outside of Gaza since there are no longer any hospitals or health facilities available. The cost of the surgery is an additional $10,000. Our goal is to raise enough money for Abdul to be able to evacuate his entire family, provide his grandchild with medical care, to relieve some of the financial hardship they are experiencing, and to help the family settle once they are safe. Abdul has also shared a few words below.

My kids and grandkids have been living in the Gaza crisis for 9 months now. They are escaping death from place to place. They are starving, with no food, no water, no essential medicines, no electricity, and no internet. Many have experienced diseases such as gastroenteritis and hepatitis. Their home was burned and destroyed by soldiers and they are now forced to live in tents in the streets. As you may know, Gaza is now under full closure and siege; no one can leave. It is very much appreciated if you help me in this humanitarian and life-saving issue, as well as saving my family’s lives.
