Help Abdullah and His Family Leave The Gaza Strip
Donation protected
My name is Andrea, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my friend Abdullah. He and his family are currently in Gaza trying to survive.
He has 11 family members in need of evacuation from the onslaught of destruction and death by Israel. Everywhere in Gaza is very dangerous to live and they are running out of food. Sounds of IDF bombing neighborhoods, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure wake them in the night, and they can only wonder when they will be next. Israel has cut off most water, electricity, fuel, and food supply to the Gaza Strip. Everybody is either starving or skipping meals to survive. Water is also extremely limited, and contaminated. Prices for food have been jacked up due to shortage, and my friend and his family can’t afford it anymore.
The IDF bombed the house Abdullah grew up in. He has almost died several times since the start of this genocide. He has witnessed things that nobody should have to. He is only 19.
Before the “war” started, Abdullah was studying mechanical engineering at a university in Gaza. Israel bombed that university, among every single university in Gaza, a total of 12. His hopes for completing his education in Gaza have been utterly crushed by Israel.
Abdullah and his family members are in need of immediate funding to:
• Afford food, at $2500 (placeholder until specific number is determined)
• Evacuate all 11 members through the Rafah crossing to Egypt. This is the only exit civilians have and the border crossing fees have been increased tenfold since the genocide began. It is minimum 5,000 USD per adult and 2,500 USD per minor (under 16)
8 adults x 5000 + 3 minors x 2500 would amount to a MINIMUM of 47,500 USD to evacuate Abdullah’s family.
• Additional fees and expenses yet to be calculated.
Please help Abdullah and his family escape Israel’s genocide on Gaza. They have lived through 10 months of constant bombardment, besieging, forced starvation, destruction of medical facilities, schools, and infrastructure, and degradation of overall quality of life. They are tired. They want to live a normal life and to have basic human rights, as they should.
Abdullah’s family is among thousands of families in Gaza who are seeking external funding right now just to live. The reality is that these are ordinary people just like you or me. Israel does not intend to stop its complete destruction of Gaza. You either pay 5,000 or die of an eventual death by starvation, disease, thirst, health complications, or, immediately by the dropping of a bomb. None of this will stop unless we dismantle Zionism, the driving ideology behind the genocide. For 8 months, we have continuously called for a ceasefire, and, for 8 months we have been denied a ceasefire. Calling for a ceasefire just isn’t enough. We people on the outside need to do more.
With your donations, actions, education, and sharing, Abdullah and his family might have a chance to live to see tomorrow. $50,000 is a lofty goal but it can be achieved. Many have successfully evacuated from Gaza, and I believe they can too.
Thank you all for reading and being wonderful human beings. I want to thank those who have donated so far and especially those who keep donating. We are making progress. Slowly, but surely. ✊

My name is William, and my friend Abdullah Hassouna and his family are currently trapped in the Gaza strip under heavy bombardement. He is 19 years old, and was studying to become a mechanical engineer before the war uprooted his life. He told me to say: “[this is] for my family and I to travel to safety; the Egyptian authority is asking for $5,000 per person.” Please donate so he can enter Egypt and travel to safety!
