Afghanistan's Dedicated Taekwondo Champion Striving to Raise Afghanistan's Flag Once More.

Dear Friends, Afghan Diaspora, and Compassionate Supporters Worldwide, I am launching this fundraiser on behalf of Abdul Wahab Zazai, a proud Taekwondo athlete from Kabul, Afghanistan.

For more than 10 years, Abdul Wahab has been a committed member of the Afghan National Taekwondo Team, representing Afghanistan with honor and determination in numerous international competitions. Throughout his career, he has won more than 15 international gold medals for Afghanistan, including a Gold Medal at the US Open, bringing pride and inspiration to Afghanistan through his skill and perseverance. Now living and training in the United States while his family remains in Afghanistan, Abdul Wahab continues to compete at the highest level. However, with the Taliban in control and no government sponsorship available, he receives zero financial support from home. Covering the costs of professional coaching, gym access, specialized nutrition, equipment, and travel to events falls entirely on him—making it extremely difficult to train full-time like a top champion. Abdul Wahab is fully dedicated to preparing for the 2026 US Open Taekwondo Championships in February/March. His dream is to compete at his peak, defend his successes, and proudly raise the Afghan flag on the international stage again. In these challenging times, athletes like Abdul Wahab are true ambassadors of Afghanistan—showcasing our resilience, talent, and unbreakable spirit to the world when so many voices are silenced. I am especially calling on the Afghan diaspora to come together and support him. These dedicated athletes are the genuine representatives of Afghanistan, carrying hopes and heritage forward through their achievements. Your generous donation will directly fund his intensive training program, helping cover essential expenses so he can focus solely on becoming the best version of himself and aiming for the podium.
