The Alliance to Mobilize Our Resistance (AMOR) is fundraising for Abdoulie Nije, a 41-year-old father of two. Abdoulie came to the United States from The Gambia 17 years ago, and since has made a family and a home here. Sadly, after a long legal battle, he has received a final order of deportation and will be sent back to The Gambia in the near future. His two children, ages 8 and 13 years old, and his ex-wife, are all US Citizens, and are being deeply affected by Abdoulie’s detention.


However, Abdoulie also suffers from a serious heart condition that requires a surgery he will be unable to receive in The Gambia. Here in the United States, he does not have insurance and his family does not have the money to pay for him to have the surgery done. Therefore, AMOR is fundraising for his medical expenses so that he can have the procedure done here before he is deported or abroad if need be.
