This is a fundraiser to honor the life of Abdi Ameen(Dr. Abdi)

Abdi Ameen was a beloved father, husband, friend and active community member.

As a young man out of college, he joined the struggle against injustice and the

revolution against tyranny. Abdi helped and saved many lives as a PA in mountains and refugee camps in Turkey. He also worked as a translator for the United State Military.

Abdi passed away in the hospital in his hometown "Duhok" due to an illness. He

was away from his immediate family, wife and three children.

I know that many people reading this will feel a tremendous loss. So many people love Abdi. He cultivated hundreds of friendships over his life, and he has been a source of

advice and support to those around him for decades. I want to invite you to help

cover the costs of end-of-life care as we carry out his wishes.
