Hello, my name is Bassem Elsayed. I am the organizer of this fundraiser. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Abdel Nasser Mahmoud Aqel Awad.

This is Abdel Nasser story:

I am Abdel Nasser Mahmoud Aqel Awad. I live with my family of 9 members in Gaza in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood. At this time, food was scarce and almost disappearing, so it became insufficient. I could hear my younger brother crying from extreme hunger, and I could not do anything. My older brother and I left the house to find anything edible to save my family from hunger. This was on 1/25, a Thursday, when suddenly we were bombarded by enemy artillery. I was hit by shrapnel in my head, causing a downward fracture in my skull. I lost consciousness completely. I was taken to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, where, unfortunately, I did not receive any treatment due to lack of availability and the doctors' inability to help me. My mother was forced to transfer me to the south, where Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital was located. The journey was long. She transported me in a wheelchair for more than 3 and a half kilometers. It was suffering for both my mother and me. This was on 12/3. Thankfully, we arrived at the hospital, but there they were also unable to provide any assistance for my condition due to the lack of resources and treatments. Arrangements were made, and I traveled to Egypt to continue my treatment. Praise be to God, I arrived in Egypt, and I am now undergoing treatment here. However, I need your moral and material support to complete my treatment because I require a skull graft operation and intensive physical therapy due to the injury affecting my movement. Additionally, I need your support to help my family, who are still suffering from hunger and displacement after our house was bombed by Israeli artillery.
