Help Abdarhman to survive and rebuild his professional life

Please read my story as if I am part of your family, perhaps your brother, son, or friend. And my family that facing death, is your family - God forbid.

I am Abdul Rahman Alsalibi, a fifth-year student in the Computer Engineering Department. I was eagerly anticipating my graduation day, but it seems that this dream has become more distant than ever.

I spent my years of study passionate about learning, seeking any opportunity to enhance my programming skills. I moved from one training center to the next, from one article to that book, from this video to that course, honing my skills in various aspects of my university major, such as computer networks, software engineering, operating systems, and databases, with the most focus on mobile application programming using the Flutter framework.

Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, I've been trying to piece together the fragments of my life, holding onto what remains of my old life, hoping that one day I can restore those days.

After the occupation destroyed our home and forced us to flee to southern Gaza, I could only carry my laptop and some clothes to protect me from the summer heat and winter cold.

I tried by all means to stay connected with my old memories, after spending most of my day searching for water, firewood, and some food, I try to spend the remaining time with my laptop, studying some computer science and writing some code to not widen the gap between this knowledge, which I have devoted all my years of study and more!
I wouldn't be honest if I told you that I get significant benefit from these hours, but it's an attempt to save some!

I couldn't stand to see my family's suffering and do nothing. I left the title "Engineer" behind and went to the market to sell cleaning materials, hoping to earn profit to feed myself and my family. I would leave the house early in the morning and not return until after sunset.

In the fifth month of the war, I finally found a workspace that provided a minimal amount of electricity and internet, which was like a lifeline, bringing my heart back to life. I tried my best to divide my time between selling in the market and being in the workspace to study some sciences and practice some of my programming skills, or rather... my hobbies!
But all that ended after the Israeli army entered Rafah and we were displaced to the Deir al-Balah area.

On the other side, my family: my mother, father, brothers, and sisters...
So far, we have endured displacement together 7 times. Each time, we saw death chasing us like a predatory beast, trying to tear us apart, but we survived by the grace of God,
but the day might come when we can't escape it.

My friend...
I don't want you to read my story as just a tragedy.
I want you to feel my suffering and my family's suffering...
To contribute to alleviating it...
To help us survive the aftermath of the war...
To help us prevent this tragedy from escalating into a bigger disaster!

The donations I will collect in this campaign will be spent on:
• Covering my family’s basic needs of food and shelter ($8000)
• Rebuilding my home ($20,000)
• Then, setting up my workspace ($5,000)

If you can't donate, share my story with your community... Be my voice to this world...
Be part of the solution...
