Hi! I'm Abby, and I've been part of the FORM community for over 4 1/2 years (catch me in the orange sweater and blue mask in the photo above doing some pandemic yoga). One thing yoga has taught me is to ask for support when I need it. Sometimes this looks like a block under my hands or a blanket under my knees, and sometimes it looks like asking other FORM members for help.
On the way home from a wonderful class with Jenn C last week, I was pulled over by Decatur PD and given a $225 ticket for stopping on the railroad tracks in the tiny stretch of McDonough between the two lights at Howard and College. The ticket was part of some sort of "awareness campaign" -- they were apparently pulling over and fining everyone who stopped on the tracks all day, and I was just unlucky.
My income is pretty modest, and $225 as a sudden expense presents a significant financial burden for me. I mentioned the ticket to Mandy in class today, and she suggested I reach out to the community!
Any amount you could contribute towards helping me pay the ticket, no matter how small, would be so so appreciated. Thank you for reading and considering!!
