My cat Abby can’t use her back legs anymore. We don’t know what’s going on or why she isn’t able to move them, and trying to figure out what it is (so we can hopefully help her) is expensive.

What has happened so far:

Out of nowhere, Abby could barely move her back legs and kept falling over, so I went to the emergency vet with her. They gave her meds and told me to go to the vet again the next day — which I did. After the meds, she could “wobble” again. We kept going to the vet and tried different things in hopes that something would help her, but nothing did. A thorough examination would be very expensive, so our vet wanted to try other things first — and we did.

Things were looking better for about a month, where she only slightly wobbled around, but two weeks ago she got worse and couldn’t use her back legs at all anymore. We went to the clinic again and started the thorough examination, but I can’t afford the next steps anymore.

Please help my cat so we can figure out how to help her — so she might be able to walk again. She shouldn’t have to spend the rest of her life lying on half a square meter in her own mess because she can’t go to the toilet or get up to eat and drink anymore.

Why do i need help with the money?

The vet appointments were around 50€–75€ each, the first emergency visit was 169€, and the first thorough clinic check was 240€. The upcoming ones are likely going to be just as expensive, if not more. I’m a university student with a minimum-wage mini-job, and I’ve already used up all my savings trying to help her. So I’m reaching out to you kind people in hopes that many can come together to help Abby so she might be able to walk again.
