Help Abby Avoid Eviction!

Donation protected
My name is Abby Lehrke, and I need help! On October 9th, I'll be attending Housing Court, because my landlord has filed for eviction. (Again.) The first time, I was able to make it through with help from friends and county Emergency Funds, but those are no longer available to me. I am applying for the funding from a local org to make up for the last few months, but I will need at least 1,600 dollars on top of that to continue to stay in my rent-controlled apartment. The full amount to catch up to rent through October would be 3,800 dollars.

After I was fired from my job (due to catching Covid) in 2023, I have been managing somehow to make ends meet through freelance translation. I even got a few licensed manga to translate, like Spider-Man: Kizuna! But freelance has dried up, and though I've shifted gears to trying to find a new full-time job, I haven't had much luck getting interviews lately.

I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD, and though treatment has helped a lot, it takes more than that to get out of a lifetime of disorganization and frustration. My physical and mental health has suffered, and I am still far from picking up the pieces. My full-time job before the pandemic was as a Call Center Representative for a company much like OnStar. We were trained to respond to car accidents, but I was dealt a severe blow when I received a call for an accident that resulted in a fatality. I was the last person to speak to the victim, who died after the call disconnected. For that reason, I am no longer capable of doing call center work. I am working with Vocational Rehab to find a position that would be appropriate for me, along with other types of supportive therapy, but... I'm not sure that'll be enough for them.

If anyone seeing this knows of any job opportunity that would be suited to me, I have experience as a Proofreader, Editor, Writer, and Translator, as well as in Administration, Customer Service, and Data Entry. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

I don't expect anyone to do this for me. I know that everyone is struggling right now, so even if all you can do is share it with someone else who cares about me, that is more than enough. It's more than enough that you read this and thought about me! In fact, here's some pictures of my cats Kousuke (gray) and Princess Orchis (fluffy), as thanks.

See you when I see ya.
