Our family is walking through one of the most difficult seasons of our lives.
The father of my two beautiful Daughters - ages 17 and 19 — has been battling an aggressive cancer and we just found out this morning that he is nearing the end of his earthly journey. Doctor’s say he might have 6 months but it’s honestly not looking like we have that long. I had to make the extremely difficult decision to make him a DNR and put him on Hospice with comfort measures only.
As a Mother, watching your children prepare to say goodbye to their Dad at such young ages is something words can't fully capture.
We are holding tightly to Psalm 34:18 -
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We feel that closeness now more than ever.
I have been serving as his Caregiver and Power of Attorney for a little more than a year now, helping manage his care and preparing for final arrangements while making sure his wishes are carried out.
While we are trusting God for peace and strength in these final days, we are also facing the financial burden of cremation and related expenses. Unfortunately, he does not have life insurance and only gets Social Security which is not a lot.
We are humbly asking for help to cover the cost of cremation (his wishes) so we can honor his life with dignity and allow our girls to focus on loving their Father in these final moments - not worrying about finances.
No matter what, he is their Dad and that love & bond is forever.
If there are any funds remaining after cremation expenses are covered, they will go directly toward our Daughters' education and future college expenses. At 17 and 19, they are just stepping into adulthood. Peyton (17) just got accepted to ETSU in Johnson City.
Supporting this fundraiser not only helps us in this heartbreaking moment - it also helps invest in the future their Father would want for them.
If you are unable to give, we completely understand.
Your prayers, encouragement, and sharing this page mean more than you know.
If you feel led to give, we are incredibly grateful. If you can't, please pray for us and consider sharing.
With faith and gratitude,
Angie, Abby & Peyton
