Help Abbott Fight for His Life

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

My name is Carli, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share about my beloved dog, Abbott. Abbott is not just a pet—he’s family. At just 4 years old, he has been a source of unconditional love, comfort, and joy for me, my husband Jaret, and everyone who meets him.

Recently, we received devastating news: Abbott has a large tumor pressing against his heart. This diagnosis came as a complete shock, and we are heartbroken knowing he’s facing such a critical battle.

The good news is that there are treatment options that can give Abbott a fighting chance, but they are expensive. Between diagnostic tests, surgery, and ongoing care, the costs are overwhelming for us to manage alone. That’s why we’re turning to our community for help.

The current cost for Abbott’s diagnostics is $4,010, and we are anticipating further costs for his treatment, including surgery and follow-up care. The financial burden is overwhelming, but we are determined to do everything possible to give Abbott the care he needs and deserves.

Abbott means the world to us. He’s been by our side through so many milestones, offering love and comfort every step of the way. We want to do everything possible to give him the care he needs and the chance to live a long, happy life.

We’re hoping to raise money to cover his treatment and care. Any amount, big or small, will help us get closer to saving Abbott. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with others who may be able to help would mean so much to us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support. Abbott has so much love left to give, and with your help, we’re hopeful we can give him the fighting chance he deserves.

With gratitude,
Carli, Jaret, and Abbott

UPDATE:
After another diagnostic ultrasound and a thoracentesis, they are highly suspicious of lymphoma. We are still waiting for the results of the fluid sample to know for sure. We had a scare in the middle of the night that brought us back to the hospital. We are meeting with the oncologist soon to discuss treatment options. Abbott is a fighter and will get through this. Everyone please keep praying hard for him ❤️

2nd UPDATE:
Abbott took a turn for the worse this morning and had to get admitted to the hospital again. He isn’t stable enough to start chemo, so all that can be done are supportive measures at this time. He was diagnosed with Mediastinal T-cell Lymphoma. This is a rare and aggressive type of cancer that doesn’t discriminate against age. It originates in the chest and causes symptoms such as chest pain and difficulty breathing. It has gone undetected in all his labs and vet visits but has already spread systemically throughout his body. We have been given a few treatment options, but sadly none of them will give us our Abbott back and the quality of life that he deserves. We have made the impossible decision to have him released from the hospital and spend his last night in the comfort of his own home and in our loving arms.
