We are reaching out to ask for a little help and support for my cousin Abbie.

Just one day before Abbie and her boyfriend Andrew were meant to return home, Abbie was involved in a serious incident on a boat trip in Thailand, where she suffered a spinal injury, breaking four vertebrae in her spine. She had to undergo emergency spinal fixation and spinal fusion surgery.

Although the surgery has been completed, her recovery is ongoing, and she remains under medical care in Thailand. There is still a long road ahead, with further recovery, rehabilitation and eventually the journey home to Ireland to consider.

Andrew has remained by Abbie’s side throughout this difficult time, supporting her through surgery and recovery while they navigate an incredibly unexpected situation so far away from home.

Any donations, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and would mean so much, and it would help make this situation a little easier for Abbie and Andrew, as being so far away from home has brought many unexpected challenges, both physically and financially.
