I have made this fundraiser on behalf of two of my friends, Caison and Abbey, who are the owners of two lovely cats, Bruno and Rigby. On Wednesday, October 29, Bruno was taken to the vet for a urinary blockage, a painful and potentially life-threatening issue that he has suffered several times in the past couple years. While he has been successfully treated for blockages in the past, this time was more severe, and he had to undergo surgery to treat it. The quote for the surgery cost is $7,100, a price that few could afford to pay out of pocket in these current challenging financial times. Abbey and Caison have already experienced significant difficulties this year, both personal and financial, so this unexpected expense has come at a particularly bad time.
