Help A Single Dad Provide Stability for His Kids

Dear internet,

I’m reaching out to share my story as a single dad trying to navigate some tough times. Recently divorced, I’ve been doing everything I can to provide for my two wonderful kids, but the financial strain is becoming overwhelming.

At this point, I’m struggling to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. I work hard every day, but despite my best efforts, it’s just not enough to cover the essentials. Yes, I know we're all struggling in this day and age. But now it has come to the point where I have to choose between rent getting paid, grocery shopping for the week, or putting gas in the tank. But not all three. Today I received a notice regarding my back rent that if I do not come up with the additional funds by Saturday afternoon, we face eviction.
