My name is Aasia Laurencin, and I’m a professional track and field athlete representing Saint Lucia in the 100m hurdles. I’ve earned the opportunity to compete at the Outdoor World Championship in Tokyo, Japan. As an unsponsored athlete, I’m working hard to cover the costs that come with preparing for and competing at this level.
Leading up to the championship, I need to participate in several meets to get ready. This means booking flights, hotels, and handling unexpected expenses along the way. I’m also investing in coaching, physical therapy, and treatment to make sure I’m in peak condition when it’s time to compete. While I do have an agent helping with logistics, most of the financial responsibility falls on me.
Representing Saint Lucia on the world stage is a huge honor. I want to give my best and bring home a medal for my country and my community. Your support will help me focus on training and competition, knowing that I have people behind me who believe in my journey. Thank you for helping me chase this dream and make my country proud.
