Aaron Helms is a devoted husband and father who I know through our church community. He and his wife are raising a wonderful toddler son with special needs, and Aaron works hard every day to provide for his family. Despite his dedication and steady employment, life has thrown them some tough challenges. Broken promises from others and unexpected vehicle breakdowns have completely derailed their already tight budget, making it nearly impossible to keep up with their financial obligations.

Aaron is not looking for a handout—he simply needs a hand up. The family has fallen behind on their mortgage, and every paycheck Aaron receives is further diminished by overdraft payments, which now consume nearly a third of his net income. These setbacks have made it incredibly difficult for them to catch up, even though Aaron is doing everything he can to support his family and care for his son.
