My name is Ashley Smallidge, my dad is Aaron VanBuskirk. He lives alone in Albany, OR. and I am a state away with two little ones and unable to provide as much support as I would like. On July 31st he underwent a 10 hour surgery on his intestines with portions having to be removed because of a hole. He was slowly on the mend and preparing to get back to work but has now had another HUGE set back. On October 7th he went in to the ER for his foot and ended up having about 1/3 of it amputated due to a bone infection. This is going to cost him another large chunk of time before he is able to go back to work.

He would never ask for a handout so I am here asking for a hand up for him. He is already behind on everything from the first surgery. I refuse to see him worry about losing his apartment and having utilities shut off when he truly needs to spend his time and energy on recovering.
