Aid Aaron and Their Dog in This Tough Time

Aaron has faced unimaginable challenges over the past five years, enduring five surgeries and now preparing for one final, life-altering procedure. This upcoming surgery will involve rearranging Aaron’s intestines and fixing their hernia—a process that will leave them unable to work for at least three more months. The toll on Aaron’s health has been severe: in the past five weeks, their pain has become so overwhelming that they are only awake for short periods each day, often passing in and out of consciousness. Daily tasks like cooking and cleaning have become impossible, and the mounting bills are threatening to take away the home that means so much to Aaron.

Aaron has always been the kind of friend who steps up when others are in need. When I was battling stage four testicular cancer and suffering from a severe allergic reaction to treatment, Aaron surprised me with VIP tickets to see my favorite band in Chicago, giving me hope and joy during my darkest days. After my first year in remission, when I was homeless and too embarrassed to ask for help, Aaron bought a camper for me so I could have a safe place to stay until I got back on my feet. Now, Aaron is the one in crisis, and I can’t stand by while they risk losing everything.

The funds raised will go directly to covering Aaron’s most urgent needs: house taxes to save the house, electric and water bills, phone service, food for both Aaron and their dog, gas, and laundry.
