Help Aaron Pursue His PhD in Slovenia

Hi, my name is Aaron Capelli. I’ve been invited to study in Ljubljana by philosopher and novelist Mirt Komel. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to deepen my research and pursue my PhD.

I’ve worked hard for this: I earned my BA in Japanese Language and Literature from UC Berkeley (summa cum laude), followed by an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Chicago. My dream is to continue my academic and creative work in an environment where I can grow—and contribute—freely.

Unfortunately, I’m currently in California in a difficult financial situation. I have no funds for a plane ticket. I’m reaching out for help from anyone who believes in education, resilience, and the power of ideas.
