Aaron's Cancer Journey: How You Can Help

Hi, I'm Danica, and I’m reaching out to our community during one of the most challenging times in our lives. My husband, Aaron, has recently been diagnosed with vocal cord cancer, and we are facing an uncertain and difficult road ahead.

Aaron is not only my partner, but also the loving father of five children, ages 2 to 25, and a brand-new grandfather. He’s a dedicated family man who has always been there for us, and now we’re asking for your help as we fight this battle together.

Aaron’s diagnosis is serious—his cancer is currently at stage 3 or 4. We’ve been given a couple of treatment options: one is a potentially life-altering surgery to remove his voice box entirely, and the other involves a combination of chemotherapy and radiation. We are still exploring all available options and seeking second opinions to ensure we’re making the best decision for Aaron’s health and quality of life.

As many of you know, Aaron and I are a single-income family. I’m fortunate to have a career I love, but even with insurance, the costs associated with treatment are overwhelming. The expenses are adding up quickly—doctor’s visits, tests, radiation, and chemo treatments, as well as travel to specialists, dietary changes, supplements, and the increased costs of living due to these new circumstances. On top of this, we’re also juggling childcare and other everyday needs that have become more challenging in light of the situation.

After much thought and with great humility, we’ve created this GoFundMe to ask for help. We know many of you have been wondering how you can support us, and this is one way that you can make a tangible difference. Your contributions will directly help cover medical expenses, treatment-related costs, and daily living expenses as we navigate this journey together.
