Aaron Jay Mondelo Valencia is 12 years old. Up to recently he has been fine. A couple of weeks ago he was diagnosed with Lupus.

It is an autoimmune disease, where the person's immune system attacks their own body. There is no cure, but you can treat it with expensive medication every couple of months.
His mother Mary Faye works in Hong Kong and sends her all her paycheck's to her husband who takes care of the family. There is no margin for treating Lupus.
Sometimes Mary Faye can go months without getting to see her family. This is pretty normal in the Philippines, a struggling and hard working country.
Mary Faye is one of my wife's many cousins, and though we know you cannot send money to every sick child in the world, please think of Aaron next time you can spare something.
