On January 19th Aaron went snowboarding with friends. Towards the end of a fun day while getting his usual snowboarding videos, he took a quick tumble. As he was getting up, another boarder ran into Aaron with the edge of his snowboard, causing a severe laceration to his low back. After Aaron realized he was injured, he asked the guy who ran into him to stay and help…the person left him there.
Ski patrol was contacted, assessed the injury, and decided Aaron needed to be airlifted to the closest hospital for care.
Shortly after arriving to Loma Linda hospital, Aaron was admitted to exploratory surgery to assess the damage further.
At this time he is stable, no further internal injuries were found during surgery.
Medical evacuations by helicopter alone are extremely costly, add in the cost of surgery and a hospital stay. If you are able, please contribute to help Aaron pay for the medical bills that will come from the accident.
