Help Aaron and Ashley Petrosino
Donation protected
Aaron and Ashley gave birth to their 2nd baby on April 9- beautiful baby Luca. Amidst all the joy of welcoming this beautiful baby boy into the world, they were surprised to find he had a congenital heart defect and was immediately transferred to Nationwide Children's Hospital for surgery.
This big boy (9 lbs!) underwent over 8 hours of surgery to repair his heart defect, and while the doctors, Aaron, and Ashley are optimistic about the progress so far, there is still some unknowns ahead of them as they remain at the hospital.
Ashley is an elementary school teacher with Dublin City Schools and Aaron is self employed (Certified Personal Trainer)... meaning if he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. Those that know Ashley and Aaron know that they are both energetic, full of life, and will brighten any room they come into. They never expected this unimaginable turn of events. Aaron has been my trainer for a few years (they both have been friends with Katie and I since the early 90s), and he cares deeply about his profession and his clients. While he is undeniably a family man first, I know him well enough to know there will be a pull in the back of his mind to not let his clients down as the days/weeks go by. Not to mention the stress of coordinating care for their little girl Gia, their dog, and their home. All while caring for baby Luca and his condition.
My goal is for us to support the Petrosinos financially so Aaron has ZERO pressure to return to work any time soon. A few weeks ago, I asked him how long he would take off when Luca was born, and he said a week- maybe 2. This is when they had no idea of Luca's condition. Please support them in any way you can- every small donation will add up to support Aaron being off work and any unforeseen medical and care bills that may arise.
