My name is Aaliyah, and I am a mother fighting to bring my children home. For the past year, I have been battling Children Protective Services, doing everything asked of me and completing all required services. Despite my efforts, my visitations have been reduced due to family drama and ongoing reports that have proven to be unsubstantial. I lost my kids because of a past partner who is no longer in our lives, and I have no family support to lean on during this difficult time.

As a low-income parent, I am unable to afford a private attorney and have been assigned a court-appointed lawyer who has not been able to help me. I am seeking support to hire a lawyer who will fight for my rights and give me a fair chance to reunite my family. The funds raised will go directly toward legal fees and, hopefully, help us start fresh once this ordeal is over. More than anything, I want my children to come home, where they belong, and not remain in the system.

I'm not here to be judged. It can happen to anyone. I am not on drugs, and I have no criminal record. I simply chose to love the wrong partner, and, in the end, it cost me my children. Every day without them is filled with pain, sleepless nights, and worry. The reality of the justice system profiting off our youth is heartbreaking.
