On January 21, 2026, a 7-year-old girl was abducted from a school bus stop in Zimmerman, Minnesota. After a rapid, coordinated response—including an Amber Alert—law enforcement located the child and arrested a suspect in the Albert Lea area within hours.

The family is overwhelmed with gratitude for the community members who searched in the cold, and for the federal, state, and local law enforcement professionals who worked tirelessly to bring the child home.

While the investigation and prosecution of this monster proceeds, the family is asking for privacy as they focus on healing and the future.

Funds raised will be used to support the minor child, her minor sister and her mother as they navigate the difficult days ahead, including:

Counseling and trauma-informed care;

Safety planning and related needs;

Temporary stabilization expenses; and

Ongoing support resources.
