Hi, I’m Syd, I’m a 19 year old transgender art student from Glasgow, Scotland. I’m hopefully very soon to start testosterone, and while I have been applying to many jobs on top of taking commissions for my artwork, I am yet to make enough money to be able to save for surgery, long term hormones etc. My family are unable to help with this funding, and my money which I had saved for transitioning goes on rent, food and art materials. 

My gender dysphoria is oftentimes crippling, it makes everyday work and socialising harder, crippling my confidence and sense of self and often leaving me suicidal. Top surgery and HRT would be a lifeline to me, like it is to many other trans people, and I would be incredibly grateful for your help.

The amount needed for this fundraiser may change over time if I manage to save some money from working, or if the price happens to change for my surgery, whether that be an increase or decrease in price, but I’ll keep on top of updates as to what is happening. The money will go to surgery, hormones, travel expenses and recovery items.
