I was diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome 2 years ago after going through hell and high water after I received the COVID-19 booster, triggering a ticking time bomb in my body I didn't know existed. For a year and a half, I suffered from cardiac, cardiovascular, endocrine, autoimmune, bleeding issues, chronic pain, etc. Doctors dismissed me after so many hospitalizations. I've been ill for almost 4 years now, struggling to work and function daily. Thankfully, it took one amazing, thoughtful gynecologist to address one of the many health issues I was suffering from, to do genetic testing and show I had a malignancy in my blood and the TP53 mutation! Immediately, I was referred to an oncology team, geneticist, and MSK (Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC) for biopsies and treatment, after my bone marrow biopsy it was determined it wasn’t just in my blood but in all my cells . Further testing leading me to find a tumor in my breast I didn't know was there. Double mastectomy, reconstruction, multiple surgeries, and more treatment led to more problems, and now I'm awaiting a radical hysterectomy to remove the masses spreading from my ovaries, uterus, and cervix.
I am 33 years old, turning 34 in March 2026. I live every day wondering if I will die, develop another ailment, or other forms of cancer. I have 2 young special needs children, and this is a debilitating way to live in fear so young! You need a village of support to manage this life and diagnosis. If I didn't have my small village and now exceptional team of doctors, I don't know where I would be. PLEASE, if you can help in any way, my daughter, my grandkids, and our family would appreciate it ❣️ Thank you for your prayers and any financial assistance you may be able to provide! God Bless.
