Help a young mom leave domestic violence

Hi friends, I’m reaching out to ask for a little help. I know all too many of you have had first-hand experience with abuse and with loved ones who have been abused…and you know how hard it can be to get out. A friend of mine recently reached a breaking point when her husband’s abuse crossed a line (honestly, any abuse crosses a line, but this time was scarier) and left the situation even though he threatened to take her three children and has since followed through. She’s trying to remain courageous – trying to keep her job, pay her rent, and stay focused on getting healthy so she can bring her kids back to a safe situation – but, as we all know, it is incredibly difficult for women to see themselves as capable of surviving on their own when abuse is all they’ve known. I want to raise a little money for her to help her get by, but also, to tell her she’s not actually alone. I want her to know there are friends and strangers out here who have her back and will help her and that she doesn’t have to go back. Her monthly rent and the past-due bills that were left with her equal about $2,500. I figure if I can raise about that amount, she’ll have some strength between now and Christmas to keep working and saving. Thank you, friends. Please let me know if I can answer any questions.
