My name is Janira Rivera, many know me as "Olga." I'm sharing some news that has unexpectedly changed my life, but trusting in Almighty God that victory is mine. A few weeks ago, I was diagnosed with "CARCINOMA PULMONAR" a malignant tumor that grows rapidly in the lungs and can be fatal if not treated promptly. It's classified as stage 1 Metastasis Lung Cancer Currently, I'm undergoing medical evaluations, treatments, medications, and oral chemotherapy. Because I'm a recurring patient, the chances of successfully treating this tumor with chemotherapy are very slim, making me a candidate for three cycles of radiation and possible surgery for its removal. I currently have Carelink Insurance, but it doesn't cover 100% of my expenses and requires me to pay the deductibles. I'm on a waiting list for assistance from the American Lung Society and am waiting for a response from the Social Security office, but that takes time, which I don't have. I try to generate income daily so I don't have to rely on charity, but it's difficult, especially without family support. Therefore, I ask from the bottom of my heart that if you are able and willing to help me, no matter the amount, even one cent would be a great help and a blessing, allowing me to continue hoping to extend my life a little longer and see my daughters grow up. You're not obligated to contribute. I desperately want to beat cancer, but at the same time, I feel helpless because I can't afford my treatments and medications.
