I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my husband. He has End-Stage Kidney Failure with a GFR of just 5-8. At only 26 years old, he dreams of finishing college, but his condition has made it impossible for him to work. He relies on Peritoneal Dialysis every day to remove waste and excess fluids from his body—his only lifeline while we continue searching for a donor.

Unfortunately, we don’t have reliable transportation, which makes getting to his medical appointments even more difficult. The financial burden of transportation and essential medications is overwhelming, and we’re struggling to keep up.

He doesn’t have any reliable family to turn to, and my family and I are doing everything we can to support him. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and help ease this journey.

What is CKD Stage 5?

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Stage 5, or end-stage renal disease (ESRD), is the final stage of kidney failure. At this point, the kidneys can no longer filter waste or excess fluids, leading to life-threatening complications without treatment.

Challenges and Risks:

Severe Fatigue & Weakness – Due to anemia and toxin buildup.

Heart & Vascular Issues – Increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure.

Dialysis Dependence – Requires daily treatments to survive.

Nutrient Imbalances – Can cause bone disease, muscle weakness, and heart problems.

Infection Risk – Weak immune system increases risk of serious infections.

Emotional & Mental Struggles – Depression and anxiety are common due to lifestyle limitations.

Limited Treatment Options – A kidney transplant is the best hope, but finding a donor can take years.

Managing CKD Stage 5 requires dialysis, medications, and specialized care, making transportation and financial support critical. Any help means the world to us as we fight for his health.
