Most of you who know me, know that my views are somewhat conservative , especially on illegal immigration. But I also believe being conservative and compassionate can go hand in hand.

The past couple of years I have been stopping by this restaurant by my house where a young El Salvadorian girl works , she always had a smile on her face with a great attitude . As I got to know her a little better , I found out she has been here for 10 years and has her residency card, and is here living and working here legally .

She just turned 18 and has started saving money to take her test to become a citizen. She is a quality person and will make a great American . I am asking people I know to contribute to the cost of taking the test. This young lady works hard but doesn’t make a lot of money. I believe charity works best when it comes from the people and not the government . Anything you contribute will be appreciated .
