Hi! My name is Reid, and I am a 15-year-old goaltender from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, an Algonquin reserve in Quebec. I’ve been passionate about hockey since I was 4 years old, and I’ve dedicated countless hours to honing my skills and striving to play at the highest level possible. For me, hockey is more than just a sport—it’s my passion and my life's focus. Through hockey, I’ve learned invaluable lessons in discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. It has taught me to overcome obstacles and never give up, no matter how challenging things may get.
Currently, I’m playing for the U-15 AAA Boston Dukes National team in Boston, Massachusetts. This opportunity is crucial not only for my development as a player but also for my future in higher education. The exposure and education I’m receiving here are pivotal for achieving my goals. However, the financial burden of participating at this level is a significant challenge for my family and I.
I’m reaching out to my hockey community, friends, and family for support. Your help will enable me to continue pursuing my dreams and will significantly ease the financial strain on my family, who have supported me every step of the way. By supporting my journey, you’re not just assisting a young athlete; you’re investing in someone who is deeply committed, hardworking, and determined to excel both on and off the ice.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will have a profound impact and be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my dreams. I am excited about the opportunity to make you all proud and to continue working toward my goals with your help.
