We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits for someone very close to us. Scott Byrd, a young man who just turned 21 and should be planning his wedding, building a career, and enjoying the early days of fatherhood has been diagnosed with stage IV metastatic Rhabdomyosarcoma. No 21 year old should have to choose between fighting cancer and providing for his family.

Scott is a devoted father to his beautiful 9 month old son. He and his fiancée, CeCe, were planning to marry next year, but those dreams are now on hold. Their focus has shifted entirely to survival, family, and trying to stay afloat in the middle of a storm no one could have anticipated.

Cancer does not only attack the body, but it also it affects every part of life. With treatment now underway at MD Anderson in Houston, Scott’s ability to work is gone. Their beautiful family faces overwhelming medical, housing, travel, and living expenses that could exceed $100,000 during this fight. Every act of kindness helps ease this burden and allows them to focus on what matters most, Scott’s health and their young family.
