My son, his partner, and their 1-year-old child recently experienced every family’s nightmare — they lost everything in a sudden house fire in Sudbury, Ontario.

Everyone is safe, but the fire destroyed their home and all of their belongings. In a matter of moments, they lost clothing, furniture, baby items, household essentials, and the sense of security that comes with having a place to call home.

They are currently staying with family, but this is only temporary. They urgently need help to secure a new apartment and replace basic necessities, including:

   •   First and last month’s rent

   •   Clothing and footwear

   •   Baby supplies and furniture

   •   One bed

   •   Kitchen items and everyday household essentials

Starting over is overwhelming — especially with a young child — and the financial burden is more than they can manage alone right now.
