Help a Young Family Struggling with Covid
Donation protected
Please help our dear friends Jacob Ko and Lydia Lee, as they will have a long road to recovery ahead of them. Even before Covid, this young family had endured a tough year. Their daughter was born prematurely due to complications that required both mother and daughter to spend a lot of time in the hospital. Mercifully, both recovered and have been healthy.
This December 5th, Jacob was admitted to the hospital with a positive Covid test, difficulty breathing, and heart problems. He was given many aggressive treatments, including being put on a ventilator and full life support. His condition is improving, but he is still in the hospital recovering. He is no longer on a ventilator, but still needs a breathing tube, heart pump, and respiratory dialysis.
Many family members became sick with Covid, including Lydia and the baby. On December 9th, the baby had a temperature of 104.9! Lydia ultimately had to be hospitalized with Covid on December 13th, separating her from her family once again.
Their church family has surrounded them in prayer, and family members have been able to care for the baby and each other as they battle illness, too. Please consider helping financially, as both Jacob and Lydia are self-employed: they will have a period of lost earnings on top of high medical bills.
Most importantly, it would help ease the burden on what has certainly been an exhausting and emotional period for them, particularly around the holidays.
