- In a tragic turn of events Rachel Hughes and her husband and kids lost their home in lake city florida to hurricane Helene. At midnight Friday morning, a large oak tree landed on our home and came through our roof. The tree entered into our home two feet above where my 2 year old daughter was sleeping. The entire back side of our house is now damaged and not safe to live in. The tree also took out a vehicle on the side of our house. We are raising money to help with the cost of re locating and seeking immediate shelter. We are also needing to replace our toddlers bed, clothing, and toys. Thank you so much for your help.
