Hello! My name is Anna, although I go by Aiden. In 2023 my husband and I were living together in an apartment of our own, barely getting by but had our own space at least.

Then my husband Jacob started to have seemingly unexplainable medical episodes, he would collapse, nearly lose consciousness, be in tons of pain and was unable to move or speak. He was forced to quit his job and by the end of our lease I could not afford to pay for our rent, living expenses and medical care on my own. So we moved in with my family.

We've been unable to get a foothold financially since then. My car died, I took out $12k+ in debt trying to get us somewhat to a better place, and now make barely enough to keep us fed.

I love my family but this living situation is not good. There's mold in the house, mice in the kitchen, it's dirty and the only people who clean are myself and Jacob. I've cleaned the house countless times top to bottom but it never stays that way no matter what I do.

Jacob and I have planned and been trying to save for a move to a different state. A place with a lower cost of living, where we have friends and could find better job opportunities. Jacob is still struggling with his health and has been unemployed for over 2 years now. He's incurred loads of medical debt having been to the hospital tons without insurance. We're still trying to figure out his health situation. I have worked full time, taking on side gigs and searching for a second job but still cannot get ahead.

Now our time is up. We need to move and start our lives and we have less than 3 months to do it because my family's financial situation is also terrible and it's possible they will lose the house sometime this year.

I myself am an autistic trans man and working as much as I have has resulted in the burnout of a lifetime. We're both so tired and hate to ask for help, but we see no other option now.
